The Conservation Hackathon project aims to bring together programmers, software developers and conservation scientists to take on some of the big challenges in 21st century ecological research. We tackle big data sets and hope to develop innovative approaches to data analysis, visualisation and synthesis. Conservation Hackathon organises regular hackathon events in London and around the UK. Co-founded by Dr Robin Freeman (ZSL) and Dr Claire Asher (UCL / Curious Meerkat), Conservation Hackathon is a collaborative project between the Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research (UCL) and the Zoological Society of London.
If you are a scientist working in the fields of conservation or ecology and you have a dataset you think we should tackle at a future event, please get in touch!
